on drawing. pen, paper, pencil. it's all good.

so why drawing?

drawing for me is expressive, passionately and impulsively - an almost accidental emotive expression of sight to experience on paper. paper itself lending to the expression; white, cream, black, it doesn't matter as long as the contrast is there. my fingers intuitively know they belong wrapped around a mark maker... something smooth that i can damage and use, like this pen. i press and pull it. this pen almost pours itself upon this smooth wood and paste staining it, allowing me to alter what once was with my desire.

i could just as easily wet my tongue and lick and stroke this surface. it is that willing for my carress.

through her fingers

my newest creation.. working, working for a long time on it... really proud of the emotions that it has both come from and it reminds me of. disappointment. loss.
still, a work in progress.

on site at lakefork looking for gods breath

this was my lake fork excursion or explosion. paint throwing can get a little wild. frustrating how i can tell myself don't do this... then immediately do the very thing i was trying to avoid. well, it's a new color pallet for me and all-in-all... i like it very much.

multimedia and lighting effects

My lovely daughter, Stacyann, posed for me this afternoon while i experimented with multimedia. thanks SA!

i could have messed with this for another hour to adjust the lights and darks. unfortunately, timeliness prevails.

forgive the beard, daughter! love, mom
